Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide backline (PA, drum kit, etc.) in lockups?
No, all we provide is a secure room. The band must provide all their own equipment.
In emergencies we have a limited number of amps available for short-term hire, subject to availability.
When can I use the room?
You can use the lockup any time during our normal opening times.
We can usually arrange access to the room to take or return equipment outside these times.
Are you open on bank holidays?
We are open 7 days a week, including bank holidays, except for at Christmas when we close for two weeks.
Who has access to the room?
Only the members of your band, plus any guests you allow in. We provide membership cards for your band to ensure there is no unauthorised access to your room.
Access is only possible while a member of staff is on duty – the building is securely locked and alarmed at all other times.
We use CCTV with recording on our premises.
Will my equipment automatically be insured?
No, bands must provide their own insurance for equipment stored or used in the lockup, if they wish.
Can I pay rent using credit/debit cards, or by direct debit?
We do not accept any credit or debit cards, only cash or cheques (with a valid guarantee card).
We do accept weekly direct debit payments.
Can I use the room as my own commercial studio or teaching space?
We don’t allow our lockups to be used in any way that conflicts with our own services.
If you are a recording engineer or a music teacher looking for space to work in, contact us first.
